The season if upon us. Christmas is here. Yesterday I ventured up to Hastings and then Middleville, Michigan to enjoy some time with photography. The winter mix over the last few days in the Southwest Michigan area of the state has been combined with ice storms, snow and as part of Christmas Eve, bright blue skies. The combination and stage set over the last few days was just right for some beautiful winter photography. Here are a few photos I took on Christmas Eve 2013:
Land Contract homes are a popular subject with a lot of new first time home buyers because on the surface seller financing appears to be an easier way to go than conventional lending. However, there is much to know about this firm of seller financing, and it is not an arrangement to enter into blindly. The book ‘Understanding Land Contract Homes: In Pursuit of the American Dream’ touches many aspects of this form of seller financing to help guide a buyer or seller through the process and discover if it is the right choice for their situation.

I have not written to this blog in several months, and the reason is that I have been busy with my other writings. This year I released 10 eBooks, bringing my total of published eBooks to 12. In the past several months I have been working on expanding my publishing business and have been working on the project to bring many of my existing titles into paperback.
I am happy to announce that as of this writing I have six of my titles available not in paperback for sale on Amazon through print on demand, and I also have two more titles which will be available before Thanksgiving. To see my complete list of books, visit my author page on Amazon at: www.Amazon.com/Author/MichaelDelaware.
All in all it has been an exciting journey as an author this year. I have also helped another author bring two of her books into print, including an illustrated children’s book which I will write more about later.
Did you know there is a township in Michigan called California? Yes, it is true. I have been there. It is a small township of approximately 900 residents near the State line of Indiana and Michigan. It has a small town as part of it called ‘Ray’ which sits on both sides of the State line. Mostly a farming community, California was incorporated in 1846. There is not much to see there when you drive through the small township, but the sign below did catch my attention.
